What do we do? What is this blog for?
Well, let me answer the immediate. Sparkling manga is a manga raw cleaning service. We clean manga pages for you at no cost at all. We're doing this for fun and so just to amplify what I just said, we work for free. This blog is our home page, just so you can find us much more easily than with another host (yay for google search :D)
Also, using blogspot is free, another way we can keep our services completely free. So unless blogger starts charging money, we'll continue to work without requesting money donations. Raw donations are however, another thing, please do send those!
How we work:
Well, we can't work without raws right? But we also only clean. We can offer proofreading and typesetting to the struggling group, but our purpose is cleaning only. All you have to do is email your raws over and we'll clean it for you before sending it back. Unless on a holiday (meaning a holiday without internet) or during exams, we should be able to finish each chapter within a week (we work on weekends only!). We'll use photoshop to do our cleaning, so let us know if you can't access photoshop, we'll change the format for you do you can open it in other programs.
We also clean some other raws we find hanging on the net (none yet!) You can find them at our library list in download form (and compressed too).
They are free to take, so take them to translate. Each page should have at least two layers, the background with the original raw and the foreground with the cleaned scan. If licensed in english, let us know so we can remove them! Having licensed works on the net is illegal.
Who are we best for?
Mostly groups who are short on cleaners
Groups which need cleaners and don't mind slower releases (Once a week)
Groups which give alternate chapters to cleaners; you can treat us like another co-worker in the group
We can also teach you how to clean; and we're more free than scanlation groups since we don't rush to do release unless we have jobs. So if you want to learn, send a quick e-mail request :)
